Assembly Technician Vehicles - 18 Month FTC

We are looking for talented individuals to join the company, in return we offer an exciting and challenging career path and excellent work/life balance with a 4 day week (Mon-Thurs) and flexible working arrangements., Lockheed Martin is looking for an experienced Assembly Technician Vehicles to join our team on an initial 18 Month FTC (Fixed Term Contract)

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Assembly Technician, Armoured Vehicle Technician / Aircraft Assembly Technician, Mechanical Fitter or similar role.
• Ability to complete set ups and perform quality and performance testing.
• Ability to work from written instructions with limited supervision.
• Ability to use hand tools and measuring equipment with high accuracy.
• Ability to liaise with the test support, engineering and Quality functions.
• Attention to detail and ability to self-inspect work to ensure quality defects are mitigated
• Hands-on experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Understanding of "clean as you go"/6S/FOD/Tool control programs mandatory.
• Experienced with quality inspection points and process documentation.
• A very high level of health and safety awareness.
• Must be able to take direction well and is a strong team player.
• Extreme attention to detail and continual pursuit of perfection.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Excellent organisation skills and problem-solving skills.
