Let us introduce the role We have an exciting opportunity to join an expanding team focused on providing efficient and high performing assets within our RPDU Enabling Team. We are looking for people who can work closely with all levels of stakeholders to understand where and how asset performance can be improved enhancing availability and reliability to meet programme demands. for individuals looking to broaden their technical knowledge, experience and leadership skills, whilst supporting delivery of critical trials that underpin the UK's nuclear deterrent. Ideal Candidates will have the following skills, experience, and behaviours:

  • Lead Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) workshops & provide technical input to ensure key asset failures and consequences are identified and mitigation actions recommended.
  • Identify critical spare requirements to support the availability of key assets & identification of obsolescence risk.
  • Ensure key stakeholders are provided with asset performance and project delivery status information as appropriate.
  • Support root cause analysis for complex plant and equipment performance issues.
  • Extract data, prepare and author reports to support asset performance analysis.
  • Provide expertise in the application of the maintenance optimisation process.
  • Manage company change management process inline for ongoing projects.

    Whilst not to be considered a check list, candidates should be able to demonstrate some of the following:
  • ONC/HNC in Engineering Discipline OR building discipline or suitable experience gained in an engineering or building environment.
  • A good level of understanding and awareness of Asset Management / Maintenance principles are preferred but not essential.
  • Customer focused with strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to identify problems, evaluate options and execute solutions.
  • Working knowledge of Facilitation and Change Management techniques.
  • Experience of negotiation and facilitation to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Through life asset management knowledge.
  • Understand the internal & external environment in which company operates.
  • Good understanding & knowledge of regulation and legislation with regards to engineering and maintenance.
  • Experience or qualifications in risk management.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel especially).

    Package: £37,860 - £50,000 (depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience), AWE has wide range of benefits to suit you. These include:
