Asset Inspector

This Asset Inspector will report to the Inspection & Maintenance FSS and will work within Network Operations based in the Sussex / Surrey / Kent Area You will be a permanent employee.,

• Inspection and non-intrusive diagnostic testing of all plant and apparatus associated with the distribution network
• Repair minor plant defects associated with the distribution network
• Take oil samples from HV Plant
• Use handheld IT equipment
• Replace/test batteries associated with the distribution network
• Complete site visits required by the Electricity safety, quality and continuity regulations
• Perform system emergency suitable system emergency role depending on experience and suitable training
• Ensure that you work to the Distribution safety rules and demonstrate a safety culture
• Communicate with other departments within the business
Nature and Scope: You undertaking you will play an important role in the safe completion of Inspection and maintenance programme in the Southeast Region You may work at any location within the UK Powernetworks footprint You maybe required to work either alone or with a team of other inspectors that report to a Field staff supervisor and have the support of experienced Field Engineers

  You will attract a salary of £31,454 per annum subject to qualifications and experience and a bonus of 3%.
