Full Job Description

This is an important role with our IT department and is vital in ensuring licencing and asset management processes and records are consistent and accurate. These elements are key to our security, compliance and the effective management of expensive hardware and software. You will work closely with colleagues RBKC as you provide appropriate reporting and intelligence on assets to the Oversight & Governance function and the Data, Digital & Technology (DD&T) team. Owning the asset management process and ensuring our teams keep accurate registers and databases, you'll maintain information about the hardware and software required to deliver a professional DD&T service. We'll also expect you to manage the cost implications of asset disposal, maintain and ensure compliance relating to software purchase and the removal of licenses, and take responsibility for desktop and server licensing compliance. Additional responsibilities will include acting as the subject matter expert for business processes that interact with software license management.

  • With proven experience, you will have well developed knowledge of tier 1 and tier 2 software vendor licensing and its optimisation.
  • You will have a good understanding of vendor relationships and software, hardware licence management.
  • Familiarity and Experience of using systems such as the Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager (or equivalent) , IT Service Management Software and Asset Management systems and also be familiar with and Active Directory.
  • You will be expected to be familiar with ITIL service management processes.
  • You will have excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft's suite of software, with a particular focus on Excel.
