Description: Graduate Asset Management Engineer, Electricity Transmission Asset Operations - Warwick About the role Asset Operation involves the management and optimization of physical assets to ensure their efficient and reliable operation. It includes activities such as monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, and compliance. Collaboration with stakeholders is crucial for effective asset operation. Its goal is to maximize asset availability and performance while minimizing costs and risks. As a graduate on our Asset Management Engineer scheme, you'll be helping invest in and look after National Grid by maintaining and upgrading our assets. Some of your key accountabilities will include:

  • Working on-site alongside contractors and colleagues, fault fixing, raising issues, and discussing design flaws.
  • Being part of a long chain of communication and reliably absorbing and sharing information with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Gaining knowledge of the electrical transmission system and working closely (mainly on projects) in teams of five or six, with other experienced members of staff.
  • Playing your part in creating a safe working environment to share concerns or offer your opinion about potentially risky situations.
  • Producing a variety of reports, presentations, and Excel spreadsheets.

You'll need to achieve a minimum 2:2 in a STEM-related degree discipline. It doesn't matter when you graduated or if you are currently working towards your qualification. We just need you to be eager to apply your knowledge in a real-world setting.
