Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to be a specialist within our Custody Asset Transfers team as an Asset Transfer Associate. The role sits within our wider Client Accounting department where teams support the vital work of ensuring all money and assets held by Transact for clients are recorded accurately. The Client Money and Asset teams are dedicated to doing the right thing for all stakeholders, and you can be a part of this mission! The Transfer's team is responsible for confirming that client money and asset transfers are completed, registered and updated on the Clients' portfolio within tight deadlines. The Asset Transfer Associate role will allow you to gain a deeper understanding of how investment assets flow through the back office of a leading investment platform. We encourage continued learning and to help professional growth we offer opportunities to undertake financials services qualifications. Responsibilities include Team:

  • Updating asset transfers accurately on client portfolios, and on the same day as receipt of asset transfer confirmation.
  • Contacting third party providers and fund managers, where necessary, in a professional manner to ensure there are no delays to transfers and the end to end process operates in an efficient manner.
  • Adhering to the industry wide framework for improving transfers and re-registrations by ensuring a same day turnaround time is achieved.
  • Timely investigation/ resolution/ escalation of queries and issues that may arise.
  • Effective and collegiate relationship with Client Operations with the aim of collectively improving processes.
  • Departmental:
  • Ensuring procedures and process maps are updated when processes change, and reviewed at least quarterly. Ensuring procedures and process maps are relevant and accurate.
  • Awareness of CASS 6/7/8 and any other regulations that are relevant to the core processes in the Client Accounting Department.
  • Fostering and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Awareness of how the Department's activities fit and support the Transact business proposition.
  • Adherence to FCA regulations on Consumer Duty, ensuring we are doing the right thing by our client's.
  • Drive a professional and ethical culture within the Department, aligned with the FCA's principles for business.
  • Person Specification
  • An individual who has excellent phone manner and great relationship building skills.
  • The ability to be a conscientious team player with excellent attention to detail.
  • A proactive individual who will take ownership for completing tasks in a set timescale under pressure.
  • An aptitude for working through large quantities of complex data accurately.
  • An individual with intermediate MS Excel skills.
  • Beneficial to have a degree with a Mathematics, Economics or Finance focus.
