Full Job Description
- Your primary focus will be oversight of the financial transactions of the business and the efficient operation of the accounts function
- The role will be varied and include, amongst other things, managing debtors and creditors, balance sheet reconciliations, payroll, VAT returns, maintenance of the fixed asset register and supporting the production of monthly management accounts
- Ensuring that company policies and procedures are followed
- Liaising with all teams within the business, including sales, workshop and buying
- This can be a development role for someone with aspirations to become a Dealership Accountant
We're looking for a commercially minded Assistant Accountant with great Excel skills and payroll experience and ideally also with experience of working within the motor industry, although this is not essential., AAT qualified or equivalent. - Enthusiastic about delivering high quality, accurate output.
- Able to work independently and take initiative.
- A keen eye for detail.
- Able to build positive working relationships with other team members.
- Strong ability to multi-task, think on your feet, problem solve and when necessary 'roll your sleeves up and get involved' with an appetite to grow and develop.
- Good time keeping skills.
- Experience in the car industry is preferred, but not essential if you are an adaptive learner.
Carlingo is an independent used car retailer based on the main road into Harrogate. - Salary: £30,000 - £33,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
- Hours: 9am - 5:30pm Monday to Friday
- Company Uniform.
