Assistant Accountant

RECfinancial is partnering with one of Leicestershire's largest businesses in their search to appoint a new Assistant Accountant. The role is based at an impressive office which is commutable distance from all areas of Leicester / Leicestershire, Nottingham, Derby and Coventry / Warwickshire.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this exciting Assistant Accountant role is a mix of transactional accounting and assisting with monthly accounting. The role will be exposed to bank / balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, accruals and prepayments, variance analysis and supporting the ledger team.
The role is working as part of a team who are responsible for the head office costs and business functions.
The client is keen to hire a candidate who comes from a transactional background as the role does have some exposure to Purchase Ledger. The client will consider candidates who are studying for either AAT or CIMA / ACCA - the role does come with full study support. Your previous roles may be sale / purchase ledger based and it's likely that you will be in a Finance Assistant or Junior Assistant Accountant role currently.

The business does offer hybrid working post probation. They are keen to hire a candidate who does want to progress their career in the future.
The role has a salary range of between 25,000 and 29,000 plus benefits.
