Assistant Accountant

With ability to build good relationships with colleagues, communicating at all levels of the business, you will be supporting the Finance Managers/Controllers in all areas of the day-to-day accounting function, proactively managing workload with month end close processes and fostering high attention to detail when preparing balance sheet reconciliations for review.

What you can expect as an Assistant Accountant:

• Daily bank reconciliations


• Manage invoicing of central costs and recharges to other Swegon Group Companies


• UK/German/Irish VAT Returns


• Support local Managers with the review and disposal of obsolete stock


• Support department/project managers with Capex projects


• CIS Returns


• German EC Sales & Intrastat Submissions


• Be a key support in the interim and year end audit with external auditors


• Ensure timely and accurate production of P&L and other key management account information


• Assisting with the preparation and reconciliation of various balance sheet items in a timely and accurate manner including the posting of any journals


• Assisting with the commentary on various balance sheets


• Assisting with the month-end closure procedure


• Working closely with stakeholders on a day-to-day basis, as required, supporting and providing key business information to support decision making


• Proactively managing workload to ensure all deadlines are met within month-end timetable


• Supporting fellow team members in the day to day running of the Finance department


• Ad-hoc reporting, analysis, and project work
  
  Do you have experience in Accountancy? Are you confident in using excel? Do you have analytical thinking skills? If you have answered yes, then we have a new opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join the Finance department based at our fantastic office in Snodland, Vantage Point, reporting into the BU Controller., 1+ years experience in a similar role


• Competent Excel user (Vlookups and Sumifs)


• AAT or CIMA/ACCA studier


Desirable:

• Experience of ERP Systems


• Experience within a manufacturing environment


• Finance or Accounting degree
