Full Job Description

  • Meeting and greeting all visitors including, staff, patients, family/carers and external colleagues, including undertaking appropriate security checks, i.e. ID
  • Using a biometric or equivalent system to perform key checks
  • Scanning and uploading documentation to clinical records
  • Maintaining Microsoft Outlook Calendars
  • General office duties, such as answering the telephone, dealing with queries, signposting, photocopying,
  • Adhoc tasks as required i.e. maintaining/setting up spreadsheets, typing up minutes
  • Training other team members on Key security and administration tasks.
  • This Assistant Administrator role is based within in the forensic administration team, The successful candidate will work alongside other assistant administrators and with the wider Forensic administration team. We are a friendly and supportive team led by Teresa Utting who will support with training and career development should the successful candidate wish to progress further with their career within the NHS.

    The Forensic Low Secure Mental Health and Learning Disability Administration Team are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, customer focused, self-motivated Administrative Assistant to join our great reception team, working across two low secure units of the service (The Allington & Tarentfort Centres) on the Greenacres Site in Dartford. The Forensic Low Secure Mental Health and Learning Disability Care Group care for men 18+ whose offending behaviour and complex mental health needs require care in a low secure setting. It will require someone with great communication and customer service skills, be calm and confident in their approach, and who can work effectively with the various demands placed on the reception team. This is a full-time post consisting of shifts (Monday - Sunday), which will also include working bank holidays. Part Time hours can also be considered. Please speak to the manager.,

  • Enjoy working as a team but equally ok working autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Have GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent) or NVQ Level 2/RSA2 (or equivalent).
  • Have an opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills by undertaking an NVQ or further higher education.
  • Have strong customer service skills.
  • Have flexibility around shift patterns.
  • Have a professional and confident manner during both face to face and telephone contact with patients, staff and visitors.
  • Have excellent organisational skills
  • Have good keyboard skills and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Have the ability to remain calm and professional when faced with sometimes changing and/or challenging situations.
