Assistant Caretaker

We are seeking an Assistant Caretaker to start as soon as possible. The role will be mainly based at Beacon Academy in Bodmin but may be required to assist in other schools from time to time. This is a 22.5 hour per week, permanent contract, term time plus 5 inset days.

Duties will include general caretaking duties, locking and unlocking duties, general light maintenance, gardening, cover for caretaker as required. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience of general building maintenance and awareness of Health and Safety regulations, as well as an enthusiasm and pro-active attitude to their work. Kernow Learning is a multi-academy trust of 21 primary schools in Cornwall. It is at the end of Year 6 that we say goodbye to our confident, well-rounded young people, as they move on to secondary school equipped with skills which will take them successfully forward into the next stage of their education and indeed, will take them on into their longer-term futures.
