Assistant Charity Shop Manager

Working hours : 12 hours per week includes some Saturdays with flexibility, Key responsibilities will include ensuring the highest standards of customer care, managing the daily operation of the shop in the absence of the shop manager including stock management and shop appearance, accounting of cash, health and safety issues, administrative tasks, and the recruitment, training of volunteers.

• Previous experience in a retail environment and working with volunteers .
• Proven interpersonal skills
• Good IT skills
• An ability to work on their own initiative and in a team
• A commitment to the values, aims and ethos of The Salvation Army
