CRP development is also recognised by the Department of Health and Social Care as a priority for research growth and is supported by the NIHR.
As an aCRP you will be providing support in a clinical and academic research environment for the delivery of clinical research studies/trials across the Trust, including the Clinical Research Facility, and as part of the Research and Innovation Directorate. A particular focus will be towards research under the Haematology and Oncology Research Team., The post holder will be expected to carry out both delegated clinical and non-clinical research duties safely and in line with applicable regulatory standards, local policies, protocols, and as per local training and completion of all relevant competencies. This will include assisting and working alongside research nurses and coordinators in the setup and day-to-day management of a portfolio of studies.
This will include organising start-up activities and meetings, the booking of patient visits and investigations, data management including the use of eCRF and EPR systems, and assisting in the management of regulatory documents. The post holder will also work collaboratively with Principal Investigators, lead research nurses and data managers, providing expert coordination support in a clinical and academic research environment, and communicate regularly with sponsor representatives and lead clinicians.
