Full Job Description

Acting as a patient / participant advocate at all times, the post holder will provide clinical research and administrative assistance to a number of research studies taking place within the department. The post holder will be expected to support the identification of participants into studies in the field of Reproductive Health and Childbirth, and ensure that research records are accurate and up to date. The post holder will be required to verbally explain and outline research projects and gain permissions for research participation. The post holder will also undertake venepuncture and work within the department laboratories. The post holder will also provide essential administrative support to the Women's Health team and ensure that research records and site files are accurate and up to date. The post holder will ensure the well-being of participants by adhering to research protocols and will contribute to the development and ongoing maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

The NIHR Comprehensive Clinical Research Network (CCRN) was established by the Department of Health to improve the speed, quality, and integration of clinical research, resulting in improved patient care. It is managed by the NIHR Clinical Research Network Coordinating Centre. The NIHR CCRN comprises 25 local research networks (CLRNs) in England, each including primary care, secondary care, tertiary care and mental health NHS service providers.
