Full Job Description

Supporting our General Counsel and the broader legal team, in this role you will be responsible for providing proactive and effective Company Secretarial support to the Board and subsidiary Committees in ensuring compliance with corporate governance and regulatory requirements. This role will assist in the administration of company affairs, maintaining statutory records and facilitating communication between the Board and management.

You will play a key role in taking ownership of creating and collating Board packs for various meetings and committees, including liaising with the Chairman. You will maintain board and board committee calendars, seeking and monitoring availability for additional meetings as necessary and taking minutes and following up on action points from meetings and providing governance advice. As we are a small legal team, you will support other team members with various activities in relation to the SM&CR, company policies and procedures and statutory related activities (such as company filings).

This role will benefit a hybrid working arrangement, to be based between our London office (3 days) and working the rest of the week from home.

What is important to us is that you have proven experience in a company secretarial or senior administrative role, ideally within a regulated environment (outside of financial services considered). You should possess detailed knowledge of the UK Corporate Governance Code, UK Companies Act and other relevant statutes. If you have a relevant professional qualification (such as ICSA), this would be advantageous.

What is equally important is that you are an effective communicator with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability and confidence to interact and influence to board level. You will need to be exceptionally organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise accordingly, with the ability to pay meticulous attention to detail. Considering the nature of the role, you will always act to a high degree of discretion and professionalism, remaining confidentiality as required.

As well as a competitive salary, we offer an annual performance related bonus based on individual and company performance. In addition, a generous contributory pension scheme through Hargreaves Lansdown, life assurance, 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays on top) with the option to buy/sell up to 5 additional days (terms apply). In addition, you will receive an extra day paid annual leave for Volunteering.

Wellbeing is also high on our agenda, and we offer healthcare benefits through Equipsme. In addition, all colleagues have free access to TELUS Health EAP to support their health and wellbeing. We also offer free eye test vouchers and discounted gym membership, and if that's not enough, we also offer season ticket travel loans (if applicable).
