Full Job Description

You can help make a difference working within a team of analysts and wider stakeholders to understand what is required to meet the needs of our Vulnerable Children population, and supporting our statutory reporting responsibilities to the Department For Education as well as data returns in support of regional and national collections. More importantly you can be part of helping shape the future for the team in relation to its analytics capabilities as we start our use of Power BI reporting within the Council.

To be successful you'll have a keen interest in reporting and analysing data as part of a team, with an enquiring, curious mindset. You'll have a working knowledge of data analysis tools and be keen to learn and develop use of these further to support our aspiration to become an intelligence-led organisation.
Ideally, you'll have a working knowledge of some or all aspects of Vulnerable Children which includes children and young people receiving an Early Help service, Children & Young People (CYP) with an Education Health and Care Plan, and those CYP who are being supported through Children's Social Care., We want to be an employer of choice, attracting and retaining excellent people to work for us, so that we can best serve all of Gloucestershire's diverse communities. Our promise to you is that we will provide an inclusive and supportive working environment that enables you to bring your whole self to work and realise your full potential.

It is a legal requirement, under the Immigration Act 2016, that anyone appointed to a 'customer facing role' must be able to demonstrate an ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence in fluent English.

Hybrid working arrangements are available for the majority of our roles, giving teams the opportunity to work in a way that suits them, balancing service need and individual choice, with a mix of both remote and office working.

For all your hard work, you will receive the following:

Flexible and agile working opportunities
25.5 days annual leave rising to 30.5 days after 5 years continuous service
An option to purchase 10 days of additional leave per year (pro rata for part-time staff)
