Full Job Description

As the post holder, you will be required to work as part of the adult cardiac services data team and assist the Clinical Data Manager in promotion of optimum quality data collection and reporting. You will also share the responsibility for the timely delivery of data and information reporting to meet statutory requirements and the Trust's organisational needs. In addition you will be required to assist with a number of common user support issues and provide on-going support for the team. Ensure overall accuracy and high quality of cardiac information recorded in the CCW and Cardiac PATS systems by proposing and implementing new data collection processes. Providing timely reporting to users and management.,

  • Working as part of Cardiac Services Data Team alongside the Clinical Data Manager. Work with the audit leads and senior management team on reporting and compliance
  • Provision of basic technical support to users of CCW and PATS systems including setting up/suspending user accounts resetting passwords and amending templates
  • Implementation of Information Governance and IT Security Policies when dealing with user requests (new accounts and account changes)
  • Promote good practice in the use of IT and IT security
  • Generate regular reports from CCW and PATS systems
  • Provide regular monthly reports to support the achievement of the Trust CQUIN targets
  • Collect clinical and non-clinical mandatory data items from a variety of sources and record them into CCW and PATS systems
  • Produce and weekly and monthly data collection plan with clearly stated sources of information and data collection deadlines
  • Carry out monthly submissions of data to NICOR alongside Clinical Data Manager
  • Verify accuracy of CCW data against other systems as needed
  • Assist with preparation of monthly statistical reports on activity and national targets for use by the senior management team and trust HQ
  • Setting up and implementing new data collection systems and processes with approval of Clinical Data Manager utilizing the investment in new systems at the BHI and across the trust
  • Use VDU equipment regularly for extended periods
  • Handle patient notes with highly sensitive and sometimes distressing information weekly, children, young people and vulnerable adults.
