An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Oldham Adult Community Division in the post of Assistant Director of Nursing for the Adult Managed Care Directorate.
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic nurse to provide both strategic and professional leadership to our community nursing workforce and to promote and ensure the professional nursing voice is embedded in all aspects of care for our patients.
You will need to be able to positively influence and ensure the delivery of safe, effective clinical care to patients thus making a positive difference to the patient's experience.
This role will be working closely with our Divisional Management team to ensure that all services are delivered in line with agreed performance, financial and governance objectives whilst ensuring the workforce are professionally led and managed in order to develop a highly motivated and empowered team.

Main duties of the job
Ensure a robust professional approach to service development and improvement and that any subsequent changes to structures, services and roles are underpinned by appropriate support and on-going development.
Together with the Divisional Director of Nursing lead the strategic direction of the division and take a lead role in negotiating, identifying, and implementing plans, which contain the required detail for services to be managed and delivered effectively. Provide professional advice and leadership for the development, implementation and monitoring of the Nursing and Quality Strategies that deliver a high quality, patient centred service.
Encourage and enable the advancement and development of services and practice through personal and professional development which is aligned to strategic direction of the learning and development team.
You will be a senior clinician and be an advocate for patients.
Acting as a role model at all times, exhibiting behaviours that demonstrate the promotion of equality and diversity and putting the care patients at the centre of all you do whilst striving to build a workforce that promotes diversity, innovation and kindness.
