Full Job Description
Full time 37.5 hours per week. Permanent post. In this role, you will be a visible and credible clinical leader, promoting compassionate leadership within your areas of responsibility whilst engaging your teams to improve standards of care. The post holder will deputise for the Divisional Nurse Director when required and support the delivery of the services to achieve consistency of practice, high standards of care and innovation with a strong patient safety focus. They will work in conjunction with the wider Divisional Management Team to ensure the delivery and achievement of the Anaesthetic and Surgical Services Divisional objectives and contribute to the on-going development of the Surgical Nursing , AHP and Health care scientist professional development.
- The post holder will:
- Support the Divisional Nurse Director to champion the delivery of excellent care of surgical patients with compassionate leadership, and retaining a focus on engagement and co-production within the services.
- Provide effective leadership within designated areas of responsibility promoting the highest standards of safe, high quality care and an effective learning environment for all staff.
- Act as a key member of the Divisional Management Team contributing fully to the development delivery and achievement of all Divisional and speciality objectives.
- Deputise for the Divisional Nurse Director as required.
- Participate in a Senior Managers on-call rota tier 1. Surgical services at Bolton are undergoing transformation with our new elective care centre and our continual development to improve surgical pathways and care. The post holder will join the existing assistant nursing director and governance lead to support transformation of care and services to constantly improve patient care and support staff wellbeing. Support effective delivery of safe nursing care and patient experience across the ASSD division incorporating the chief nurse strategy to reduce harm and provide a safe and effective care.
