Full Job Description
We are a small, supportive and well-established Educational Psychology Service based in a beautiful location in North Wales. Conwy is a vibrant county which offers a perfect lifestyle choice for those who love the outdoors and being by the coast.
In collaboration with Denbighshire Educational Psychology Service, we are looking to appoint one Assistant Educational Psychologist, to work as a team of two, until March 31st 2025 (in the first instance) to be central to a pilot project looking at the impact of introducing a neuro-profiling tool for pre-school children transitioning in to education settings.
We are committed to inclusive philosophy and practise across a range of mainstream and specialist settings. We work closely with a number of agencies and services and the Service has a strategic position in working with and developing ALN services and provision in Conwy.
We are passionate about child development and the application of psychology to promote best outcomes for children and young people. We are keen to continually develop our Psychology Service to offer the highest quality support to learners in Conwy, their families and those that support them. We welcome applications from psychologists interested in research and development, and in informing innovative and exciting changes to practice.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Assistant Psychologist who is seeking to pursue a career in Educational Psychology.
Due to the nature of the post the successful candidate will be subject to a disclosure by the Disclosure and Barring Service.
This role offers flexible working options for a work life balance. This can include adjusting your working day and hybrid working, ie a balance of office and home working.
Welsh Language Skills: In order to deliver a fully bilingual Educational Psychology service for children and young people in Conwy, the ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this post. We are committed to our Welsh language and are proud of our Welsh culture. We welcome applications in both Welsh and English and application forms received in either language will not be treated less favourably than each other.
