Assistant Engineer - New Developments

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity in Gloucestershire Highways working in our Street Lighting team assisting in the highway authority's role to assert and protect the street lighting assets located on the public highway and to maintain and secure improvements to these assets.

The ideal applicant will be a self-starter who is familiar with technical approval processes for third party, street lighting design submissions, street lighting equipment specifications and electrical installations. You will be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with internal and external parties to provide technical approval for street lighting designs and to complete inspections of new equipment installed by third parties and to be adopted by the council. You will be required to work alone and as part of a wider team.
