Full Job Description

We're looking for an Assistant Estimator to join our Building Solutions Team based in Sheffield., As an Assistant Estimator, you'll be working within the Building Solutions Team, supporting them in assisting and preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for construction projects including materials, transport, labour, and equipment. Your day to day will include:

  • Assisting in preparing bid proposals and tender documents.
  • Conducting site visits to understand project scope and gather relevant data.
  • Utilising estimating software and tools to create and manage estimates.
  • Maintaining accurate records of estimated and actual project costs.
  • Assisting in identifying potential cost-saving opportunities and risks.
  • Staying updated with industry trends, materials, and construction methods.

    Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in construction estimating and project management.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
