Full Job Description

We are looking for an Assistant Finance Business Partner to join our team in Luton, acting as the trusted advisor to the Operations team and supporting the Finance Business Partners. You will be expected to create legible and informative reports, ensuring that the financial aspects and impact of contracts are clear to all parties, supporting the delivery of projects. As an Assistant Finance Business Partner you ll be:

  • Assisting in providing financial business partnering to the Operational Leads to ensure their strategic and operational financial goals are delivered.
  • Ensuring that that all contracts are correctly accounted for, and closely monitored.
  • Assisting in completion of month end and subsequent delivery of high-quality monthly management accounts and reporting, including headcount reporting, variance analysis and appropriate commentary.
  • Monitoring and reporting of commercial issues and procedures through monthly contract reviews.
  • Supporting management of budget and continually identify ways to improve cost performance.
  • Ad-hoc analysis and projects to support the needs of the business.

    Ability to work with transactional detail with management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting experience.
  • Experience with translating large amounts of data into tables and legible reports.
  • Knowledge of accounting systems and intermediate MS Excel including Pivot Tables and V-lookups
  • Initiative and influences change through an investigative and can do approach and attitude to all tasks
  • Resilience and able to work in an organisation that is undergoing change due to development and growth.
  • An accountancy qualification ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA is preferred, Key Qualifications
  • AAT
  • Degree and or Project Management qualification desirable
  • GCSE A-C or equivalent (at least 3)
