Assistant Finance Manager

We are looking for a proactive Assistant Finance Manager to provide essential financial support across multiple contracts and operations. In this role, you will partner closely with senior stakeholders, supporting decision-making processes while delivering high-quality financial insights and analysis. You will also assist in the development of junior team members and contribute to key financial projects. Key Responsibilities:

• Commercial Support:
+ Partner with key stakeholders to facilitate sound financial and operational decision-making. + Conduct financial analysis and provide summaries to support business decisions. + Assist in managing financial risks and opportunities across contracts and balance sheets. + Contribute to commercial initiatives aimed at driving business performance improvements.
• Performance Management:
+ Assist in preparing key business reports, including month-end reviews, budgets, and client reports. + Support the budgeting and forecasting process, including variance analysis. + Contribute to balance sheet reviews and help manage working capital targets. + Help prepare documentation for client tenders, negotiations, and capital expenditure appraisals.
• Team Support & Leadership:
+ Support and develop junior team members, contributing to their career progression. + Collaborate with financial and operational teams to ensure effective communication and partnership. +


• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or QBE with relevant experience.
• Experience in business partnering and providing financial support to senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a commercial mindset.
• Excellent communication skills-both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage complex spreadsheets and prioritize tasks effectively.
Desirable:
• Experience in a multi-site, multi-contract environment.
• Knowledge of SAP & Cognos.
