An exciting opportunity for a motivated and focused Assistant General Manager to join the St.George's Outpatient Department . The Outpatient Services are located across four sites and on a daily basis we support appointments for approximately three thousand patients. As an Assistant General Manager within Outpatients you will provide operational and strategic support to the Deputy General Manager and General Manager with a high focus on transforming outpatient services, service developments, a rapid move to digital and virtual outpatient services delivering on innovative solutions to support patient flow in outpatients, ensuring we deliver an excellent service to all our customers. You will work closely with the Deputy General Manager, General Manager, Head of Nursing and Clinical Director supporting the delivery of new challenges within the outpatient and across the Trust. You will have involvement in financial performance and service improvement plans across the Directorate and work closely with Medical and Nursing colleagues to promote high quality patient experience throughout. As a highly motivated manager with proven experience, you will need to display strong leadership qualities and have a proven track record of delivering high performance across the areas you have managed.   • Responsible for implementing specific projects allocated by the General Manager as described within the Trust and Group Transformation Programme for Outpatient Services. Key managerial and budgetary responsibilities. You will have your own budget that you will be accountable for and involved in identifying cost improvement programmes to support the Trusts ambitious 24/25 financial improvement plan. Responsible for ensuring allocated services are reviewed and changes implemented effectively in order to meet its obligations to the Trust and the patients it treats. Ensure optimum liaison and working arrangements with sponsors, stakeholders (which will include patient/client/carer representation) and external agencies where required. Improving patient experience, quality and productivity is an explicit priority and needs to underpin all elements of initiatives undertaken. Provide leadership and management support to staff within their areas of management as allocated by the General Manager. Fulfil a crucial role in fostering excellent communication and working relationships with the clinical specialties and their teams. You will be expected to cross cover the other Assistant General Manager and the Deputy General Manager during periods of leave in order to support the Directorate.
