Assistant Groundsperson

You will undertake the maintenance and renovation of sports grounds, lawns, landscaping, tree works, and any other tasks needed to meet site performance standards. You will carry out routine preparatory maintenance of sports fields laying & marking out, mowing, watering, and fertilising and other maintenance work on a range of sports fields / areas. You will also take the lead in preparing and scheduling the seasonal requirements and maintenance of sports grounds to ensure they are of the highest standard.

If you have a good working knowledge / experience of professional grounds care and working techniques, and can complete a range of physical tasks working outdoors in all weathers, we have a rare opportunity for you to join our Public Open Space team., You will have a good working knowledge on the safe use of plant, machinery and other related equipment. You will hold a current Certificate of Competence in use of Pesticides PA1 + PA6A with knowledge of good practice relating to Health and Safety Regulations / Legislation. You must hold a full driving licence and categories C1 + E (7.5 tonne + Trailer) would be an advantage.
