Are you an education expert? We are currently seeking to represent a SEND specialist, Assistant Headteacher for a Birmingham based special school. We are supporting a large, well-established special school in Birmingham (B34, West Midlands) with a long-term, interim leadership job. We are working directly with the Headteacher who would like us to find an experienced and enthusiastic Assistant Headteacher to support their team covering a 12-month maternity leave.
If you are an experienced Assistant Headteacher, who is either available immediately or from October half term onwards we would be keen to speak with you. We are a locally based, family run recruitment business specialising in Education. With over 13 years worth of experience supporting education settings and candidates across primary, secondary and SEND divisions.
This special school based leadership job is offered on a full-time, interim basis to start from November 2024 for a period of 12 months. This is a large special school for up to 96 primary aged children (3-11 years) with severe and complex learning difficulties. Class sizes are small, ranging from 6 to 10 heads and the school is well staffed. The role will include some teaching, likely two days out of five per week. The Headteacher is looking to meet potential candidates with strengths in curriculum, speech and language support and school-based therapies.

A relevant UK based qualification.
Substantial experience working within an education setting.
All required documents for safer recruitment processing including, but not limited to a valid right to work proof and a valid Enhanced DBS.
Exceptional references.
Once shortlisted, a one-to-one interview will be scheduled with your dedicated consultant to discuss your experience and personal requirements.
