Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Sexual Health Services for an Assistant Health Promotion Officer for Sexual Health and HIV. The post holder will use their initiative and be proactive in developing opportunities for sexual health promotion. Working closely in community settings with colleges, schools, clinics, youth projects, voluntary sector organisations, hard to reach and vulnerable groups. The post holder will be the main contact for all C-Card and CSP outlets and the delivery of training. The post holder will be confident in driving and navigation skills to meet the driving requirements of the job and to transport equipment and resources across Northumberland and North Tyneside., To provide support to the Health Promotion Specialist for Sexual Health/HIV.

To support an efficient and confidential sexual health promotion service.

To promote sexual health and wellbeing to the residents of Northumberland and North Tyneside, in particular those groups who are vulnerable or least likely to access services.

To work towards reducing health inequalities.

To work flexibly within the team providing support to colleagues.
