Assistant Hospitality Manager

A great opportunity has become available for a professional Assistant Hospitality Manager to be based within our client's global headquarters based at London Waterloo on the beautiful Southbank.

Your focus will be to take responsibility for the management of our client's large corporate floor space on a day-to-day basis covering all services and onsite meetings/Events. Services include every aspect of floor from catering, visitor collection, special requests, and liaison with other Sodexo departments. As the Assistant Hospitality Manager, you will oversee all operations on this busy corporate floor, ensuring the smooth management of various key areas. Your responsibilities will include monitoring coffee machine functionality, maintaining fridge temperature standards, coordinating catering services, welcoming staff, and collaborating closely with chefs to ensure successful event execution.

• service, with excellent stakeholder and leadership skills. An events management background would be ideal. Event days will require flexible working hours, with shifts that may start early and finish late. You will have a positive can-do mind set and love working under pressure.


Main Responsibilities

What you'll do:


• Responsible for supporting of the preparation and presentation of all meals and service at the required time.


• To ensure that all food is prepared with due care and attention, particularly regarding customers, Allergens.


• To organise any special functions as required, some of which may occur outside of normal working hours and work closely with Hospitality Manager and Events Coordinator


• Ensure that the Company's accountancy, documentation and administration procedures are carried out to the laid down standard and that the necessary weekly returns are completed accurately and sent to the appointed office on time.


• Along with the Hospitality Manager and Head Chef drive the delivery and development of the food offer, services and events through commercial initiatives, innovation, and team development.


• Manage the front of house hospitality team and work closely with the chef team to produce and serve the catering. Ensure great communication is happening between teams and areas.


• To support that the site budget is met and exceeded and that all company audits & documentation are attained to the required standard.


• Deliver passion, drive and great customer service that is expected at a flag ship London corporate head office.


• Encourage a 'can do', multi skilled, one team ethos across departments.


• Lead by example through behaviour and personal presentation.
  
  Strong literacy, numeracy, and financial acumen with experience managing budgets.


• Previous catering experience in a similar environment.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels.


• Proven ability to manage time effectively, work under pressure, and meet hygiene standards.


• Experience in delivering training and supporting team development.


• Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.


• Relevant qualifications (IOSH Managing Safely, Food Safety) and computer literacy.
