Full Job Description

The Assistant Library Manager is responsible for ensuring Summertown Library operates to the highest standard of customer services, assisting the Library Manager and supporting a team of Customer Service Advisers to meet customer and local community needs, and support council services within the building to ensure customers are signposted to information and services appropriately.

The working pattern will include some working one evening per week and 1 in 4 Saturdays.

We are looking for a flexible, enthusiastic, and highly motivated person to lead and develop the role of the library within the community.You will be able to demonstrate a love of reading and the ability to enthuse others, whilst having the skills needed to work and manage people from all backgrounds, and accurately report to the Library Manager.We are looking for somebody with experience of working in Customer Service environment, or a desire to do so, and the ability to support and lead a team through day-to-day duties and delivering library events., Disability Confident
