Full Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and motivated individual to work within our busy academy library and to deliver reading interventions, including Fresh Start and Reading Plus. The successful applicant will offer support to pupils, teaching staff and other colleagues whilst ensuring the efficient day-to-day running of our modern library and deliver reading interventions to identified pupils. Previous experience working in schools is desirable but not essential and training will be provided. We would be open to discussion regarding working hours for the right candidate. Under direction of the Lead Practitioner of Literacy, the post holder will work with students who require additional support with literacy and reading. They will be part of a diagnostic literacy team, using evidence-based strategies, NGRT testing and interventions, which support reading fluency, phonics and blending, and comprehension.
