Full Job Description

The role of the Assistant Logistics Manager, on a fixed term contract for 12/ 18 months will play a key role within Speedy Logistics team and be Responsible for improving data-based decision making through analysing and interpreting of logistics data. To provide logistics and distribution information to aid cost effective, efficient, timely and high-quality logistics solutions. Responsible for assisting wider operations support in improved processes, based on outputs from data analysis.,

  • Develop and implement optimisation and continuous improvement plan
  • Ensure appropriate infrastructure, systems and processes are implemented enabling Speedy to continuously improve and deliver sustainable business growth
  • Engage all necessary stakeholders including Operations and Management through requested and self-initiated reporting
  • Work with operations support to ensure continuous improvement on all process
  • Develop strong working relationships with all internal stakeholders
  • Review target stocking levels for effective asset availability and update IT systems accordingly
  • Maintain and update transport routes on various IT systems based on information provided by operations support
  • Provide resolution support for the wider business network in relation to queries on stock level maintenance and associated IT systems
  • Co-ordinate asset movements across the business network to consolidate ranges for refurb or repair

    Data expert with significant analytical skills
  • Excellent IT skills including use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Competent and developing user of Microsoft Excel with ability to work with large data sets and produce data models
  • Self-assured, reliable, and able to demonstrate good/developing influencing and negotiation skills
  • Experience of collaborative working
  • Problem solving
  • Experience of working within a busy, fast paced environment
