Full Job Description

A vacancy has arisen for an Assistant Logistics Manager, based within the Procurement Department. The post-holder will be employed and managed by Sheffield Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, but will be based primarily within the Sheffield Children's Hospital.
The post holder will be required to oversee an efficient, cost effective, timely and courteous Materials Management and Receipt and Distribution service to Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Sheffield Children's NHS Trust. This post covers a range of tasks, which require the exercise of initiative., To provide routine replenishment of goods to designated end user departments:
+ with an acceptable quality of service
+ at lowest possible operating cost
+ with minimal working capital tied up in stock
+ to ensure integration with the Added Value Productivity and Efficiency programme.
