Full Job Description

  • Scheduling of the maintenance aspects of the plant, minimising disruption to operations and maximising uptime and availability; liaising daily with the operational supervisors to maintain efficient and effective plant operations.

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance work in accordance with Company Health and Safety standards and procedures and Quality and Environmental management system at all times.

  • Ensure effective reporting on the work completed during the shift to the rest of the team including the Maintenance Supervisor.

  • Prevent plant breakdowns by ensuring the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) is carried out and is optimal.

  • Analyse causes of unscheduled downtime and drive continuous improvement projects.

  • Understand and identify root causes of failure and drive projects to prevent repeat events.

  • Ensure that maintenance requests from the 3 facilities are dealt with in a timely manner.

  • Build knowledge of stock levels and critical spares requirements in line with Veolia systems and approved suppliers.

  • Work with CMMS maintenance systems to schedule, plan, and analyse maintenance work orders.

  • Work in harmony with other departments of the plant to ensure robust communication and enhanced operational efficiency, as well as innovative problem solving.

  • Lead on most of the significant asset improvement projects, improving operations and safety across the plant.

  • Liaise with relevant internal and external stakeholders including: contractors, central Technical Direction, equipment and parts manufacturers, industry specialists, and many others., We know how important it is to be fully committed to building and maintaining a diverse and inclusive place to work for every one of our colleagues.     Degree/Masters qualification in related field with relevant experience.

  • Previous experience in a similar role.

  • Ability to prioritise in a fast paced environment.

  • A good knowledge of Health and Safety.

  • Have great relationship building skills with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Excellent organisational skills.

  • Ability to take constructive action without relying on directions from others.
