To assist the Senior Operations Accountant in ensuring that the financial accounts of the assigned sites and SBA's are produced impartially, on a timely, accurate , and efficient basis, and that all necessary procedural controls and policies are duly implemented and observed. Benefits

  • Dimensions Responsible for the review and issuing of weekly labour and factory variable overhead reports to the factories on a weekly basis 0 direct reports 0 indirect reports 2 manufacturing sites Principal Responsibilities 1. Assist in the production of monthly management and financial accounts in accordance with prescribed formats, timescales and procedures. 2. Creation of manual and automatic accruals/provisions for all cost items 3. Provision of financial data and analysis to operational management, Finance Managers or Group Finance as required 4. Assist in the reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts at prescribed frequencies 5. Presentation of financial information to factory management team 6. Production and justification of factory budgets, both variable and fixed costs 7. Interpretation, communication and enforcement of Group rules, policies and procedures 8. Identify opportunities to reduce lead-times for the production of management accounts via an ongoing plan of process improvement.

  • Studying for a professional qualification
  • Previous experience of manufacturing would be advantageous
  • Proficient in excel
  • Experience of SAP
  • Able to work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • To maintain product Food Safety, Legality, Integrity, Authenticity and Quality standards by ensuring all associated policies and procedures are adhered to.

This role will be based x2 days a week in the Royal Liver Building in Central Liverpool (Monday is an anchor day) and x3 days a week working from home.
