Full Job Description
We are actively looking to hire a part-qualified AAT / ACCA / CIMA management accountant. This is an exciting and wide-ranging role that will be reporting directly into the Management Accounting Manager but will also work closely with the rest of the management accounts team, currently split between Colchester, London and Stafford. The role includes:
- Producing bank reconciliations
- Compiling monthly branch P&Ls and analysis
- Dealing with external auditors and assisting with queries
- Calculating and posting accruals and prepayments
- Posting inter-company journals and reconciliation of IC accounts
- Producing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Answering ad hoc queries for management / wider finance The role would suit an ambitious Finance Assistant or trainee Management Accountant with a passion for accounts who is looking to further their career.
- Trainee management accountant / accounts assistant
- Experience with bank reconciliations
- Experience with accounting systems
- Experience with accruals and prepayments
- Experience of working with auditors to complete statutory audits advantageous
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently, and as part of wider team
- Ability to work under pressure
- Person who displays the right attitude coupled with the energy to execute.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly.
- Good time management
- Strong Excel skills are critical (we love Excel in finance!)
