Full Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and motivational Supervisor to join our Carers Service and help us continue to provide support to Young and Adult Carers within our communities.

With the day-to-day line management of the team, you will ensure that your team is set up for success by identifying training needs, developing work plans, completing regular 121 meetings and holding planning meetings for projects and activities to be delivered across the year.

Working in partnership with other agencies, you will help to maintain and develop community fundraising links for delivery of therapeutic groups, whilst also developing a model to provide early intervention and prevention support for Carers. You will need awareness of our funded projects and ensuring team spends are within budget.

This role truly makes the difference as you will encourage your team to provide creative and innovative ideas that will enable Carers to manage their caring responsibilities, reduce isolation and improve health and wellbeing.

A great communicator, preferably you will have supervised a team before and be able to support individual and team wellbeing. As you will be monitoring performance, allocating work and driving productivity, you will have exceptional organisational skills.

You will have a genuine desire to support unpaid carers and have knowledge of the issues that can affect them. Alongside this, you will know how to deliver support work and customer engagement groups.

The successful candidate will be subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check. Due to the nature of the role, a driving licence with access to your own car or another form of transport is required. There will also need to be flexibility to work occasional evenings.
