Full Job Description

In order to support the growth of our capabilities within the CO&I FS Ops team, we are currently looking to recruit Assistant Managers who can make a significant contribution by combining an understanding of the Insurance industry with transformation, reorganisation and optimisation capabilities., Successful candidates will operate as integral parts of the CO&I FS Ops team to deliver the following:

  • Performing diagnostic analysis, through applying analytical techniques on large operational transformation engagements.
  • Service delivery in Digital Operations, such as digital solutions and data and analytics.
  • Facilitating client workshops to scope and design transformational solutions.
  • Managing workstreams through all of the key stages of a transformation project, from diagnostic to implementation.
  • Providing Programme/Project Management support, including production of reporting, RAID management, and general PMO tasks
  • Identifying, managing and mitigating risks and issues throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Developing and continually improving solutions, methodologies and tools to deliver consistent world class operating excellence capability.
  • Contributing capability experience to proposition development and to proposals / bids.
  • Role dimensions: Leadership & Management: Assistant Managers can expect to be responsible for their own projects within broader client engagements and be responsible for the planning, delivery and risk management for their scope of work. Additional management and leadership responsibility for more junior colleagues. Stakeholder Interaction & challenges: Our Assistant Managers will interact with the broader team on a regular basis. There will be continuous and direct client engagement. Impact, Risk, Accountability & Governance: Our Assistant Managers will operate in the Regulatory Driven Transformation and Connected Enterprise connected pillars within Management Consulting, specifically aligned to the CO&I FS Ops service line., Successful candidates will operate as integral parts of the CO&I FS Ops team to deliver the following:
  • Performing diagnostic analysis, through applying analytical techniques on large operational transformation engagements.
  • Service delivery in Digital Operations, such as digital solutions and data and analytics.
  • Facilitating client workshops to scope and design transformational solutions.
  • Managing workstreams through all of the key stages of a transformation project, from diagnostic to implementation.
  • Providing Programme/Project Management support, including production of reporting, RAID management, and general PMO tasks
  • Identifying, managing and mitigating risks and issues throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Developing and continually improving solutions, methodologies and tools to deliver consistent world class operating excellence capability.
  • Contributing capability experience to proposition development and to proposals / bids.

    Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following capability areas
  • General insurance knowledge and market dynamics for the UK and EU countries
  • Managing work streams or entire projects (local and abroad) through all the key stages of a project, from initiation to implementation.
  • Project Management and support experience including governance planning, production of strategic reporting, RAID management, monitoring of client requests
  • Strong Business Analyst skills including experience in documenting business and technology/ functional specifications, process mapping and conducting client and customer interviews and workshops.
  • Expertise in core consulting methodologies such as process mapping, business case development, strategy development and requirements gathering.
  • Capable of using methodologies and tools to deliver consistent world class operating excellence capability.
  • Working in multidisciplinary teams in a co-creation environment with KPMG colleagues
  • Experience in problem identification, solving and design for both user and business needs.
  • Ability to speak additional languages is desirable, enhancing communication with diverse teams and clients
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills with an inspirational and collaborative style.
  • Advance knowledge in Power Point and Excel
  • Fluent French speaker with the knowledge and the knowledge of another language is highly appreciated (Portugues, Spanish)
