Full Job Description

Were looking for two Assistant M&E Managers with experiencewhether from working in M&E for a developer like us, a subcontractor, trade, or main contractor backgroundwho are excited by the challenge of managing MEP subcontractors and utility services on our high end, high rise projects in Chelsea and Canary Wharf.
In this role, youll excel as the bridge between the Mount Anvil construction team and subcontractors while developing the broader skills needed to step into the MEP Manager role. Youll gain exposure to design drawing variations, expand your understanding of project scopes, and participate in project and planning meetings, providing you with valuable learning opportunities.
If youre passionate about learning, this team will be a great fit. Youll work alongside experienced mentors like your manager, Mahdi, an MEP Manager, and Sat Lola, Head of MEPa brilliant educator with a track record of nurturing talent.
Ours is a high-performance culture which in this role means we values organisation, planning, and problem-solving skills. Youll be expected to manage weekly work schedules, troubleshoot daily site issues, and understand MEP processes to ensure stages are completed correctly. From day one, youll receive and provide candid feedback, which we believe is the fastest way to learn and build trust. We welcome your insights, as we thrive on open dialogue rather than rigid hierarchies.
The Chelsea project consists of 266 units across three blocks at the first fix stage, and the Canary Wharf project is a 31-storey residential block with 218 units, both expected for completion in 2027. These long-term opportunities offer extensive learning across various project stages. Plus, youll enjoy working in one of Londons best site offices, complete with a putting green, darts, big sofas, and a fully equipped kitchena far cry from the typical portacabin.
As Mount Anvil continues to grow, were excited to welcome new talent to our team.
Mount Anvil
What we do: Weve worked in partnership for 31 years to create outstanding places in London. Were growing, with our construction turnover doubling, and with a pipeline of new projects where were raring to get started and make a difference.
Why were here: Were here to pursue better, differently.
Better: One of The Sunday Times 100 Best Small Companies to Work For for over a decade, winner of multiple Pride In The Job and WhatHouse awards for our people and the quality of our homes, and proud to have the nations best site in our ranks (winning the highest possible marks across the Considerate Constructors Schemes five areas the first site ever to do so in 22 years of the CCS).
Differently: Our culture is unusual. Different means more transparent with information. More direct with feedback that helps us all grow. More rigorous about setting goals, then giving more freedom to go and achieve them. Its definitely not for everyone. We dont hire know-it-alls, we hire learn-it-alls. As our CEO, Killian, says: We work hard to find people who thrive on context and responsibility, rather than rules and procedures. We then work like owner managers, not a leader and a load of helpers.

Benefits:
Private medical insurance for you and your family through Vitality (including discounts on spa breaks, cinema tickets and your food shopping, free Starbucks, 50% off Virgin Active Membership and more).
Income Protection Insurance to help you cope financially if youre unable to work due to illness or injury, Life Assurance equivalent to four times your salary, your annual leave & Bank Holidays, enhanced maternity and paternity leave and workplace nursery salary sacrifice, allowing you to save tax and NI on monthly nursery fees.
We think the best benefit of being here is the learning culture and the ability to make a real difference we dislike hierarchy and politics, and not my job isnt in our vernacular. Which means if you really care about raising the bar and really want to feel connected to the end product, as opposed to like a cog in a big machine, this could be the place for you to grow your career.
