This is a 12 month fixed term contract. As an Assistant Category Merchandiser within the Mobile function, you'll be working with one of our most exciting categories and have the opportunity to work with some of our key brands such as Samsung and Motorola. Our Merchandising teams help our categories hit targets by building relationships with suppliers and monitoring performance. You'll be at the heart of our success, helping our Category Merchandiser to deliver category performance. Role overview:

As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:

-Build close relationships with suppliers, stakeholders and our supply chain to ensure continuity of supply
-Step up and take responsibility for achieving all key performance indicators (sales, stock, margin and markdown)
-Review sales forecasts based on historical data, seasonal trends and market trends
-Monitor weekly performance and make recommendations to ensure that we implement in-season plans and deliver target availability across the store estate

You will need:

-Previous experience in Merchandising, ideally in consumer goods, technology, non fashion or a fashion related sector
-A relevant degree (or equivalent), e.g., Marketing, Merchandising, Retail or Business
-Knowledge of merchandise planning systems such as SAP, Compass Planning or similar
-Experience of business objects
-Strong numerical, analytical skills, and communication skills
