Full Job Description

Are you passionate about promoting and supporting the wellbeing and safety of young people in your community who have been missing?, The missing children team, within the young people's service, conduct the return home interviews (RHI) with young people, when they return from their missing episode. You will be helping to ensure the smooth running of the missing team by supporting and overseeing interventions and assessments completed by our practitioners with young people. This will include assessing and identifying the risk that young people may be exposed to when missing and recommending next steps for support. This post offers a unique insight into the complexity and vulnerabilities of missing children in Northamptonshire. You will be supported by the missing children co-ordinator and a multi-disciplinary team. You are an enthusiastic, self-motivated team player with excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills. You hold a Professional level 5 qualification in relevant field (example social work, health, education), such as NVQ/Diploma or HND or have significant relevant equivalent experience You have experience of working to support children and families including those at risk of in situations where harm is at risk of occurring and experience of designing and delivering evidence informed interventions. You are aware of the reasons children and young people go missing and the ways in which they can be exploited or groomed and you are up to date with the types of outreach and universal support which can reduce risk You can engage effectively with children, families, colleagues, and partners to secure effective plans
