Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assistant Operations Manager to join Brigit's Group family, as we strive to provide the best quality in the most highly regarded Bus Tour Company in London.

You will use your specialist knowledge to ensure the delivery of all the hospitality services to the highest standard. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will use your expertise to supervise all aspects of Bus Operations, ensuring that staff carry out their duties appropriately, whilst promoting a positive and supportive working environment for all. Work on bus tours to coach and guide team.

You will support the Operations Manager to achieve a high degree of service delivery, ensuring that goals are achieved through effective management practices and staff are motivated and supported to build strategic, long term and sustainable customer service relationships.

Key tasks

  • Manage the day to day operations of the buses in line with the company policies and brand standards

  • Maintaining outstanding hospitality standards within the team by providing strong leadership, motivation and inspiration to their team members

  • Ensure all decisions are made in the best interest of the company and team.

  • Ensure the safety of our guests inside the bus as well as of our team members

  • Assisting the Operations Manager with any allocated tasks

  • Controlling bus crew and bus drivers rotas as well as providing consistency in timekeeping

  • Investigating any incidents / accidents and building accurate reports

  • Monitoring and keeping a control over stock levels.

  • Monitoring and ensuring all bus crew paperwork is done and is accurate

  • Leading, delegating to and training bus crew members and bus crew supervisors

  • Ensure costs are controlled and revenue opportunities are effectively sourced and delivered.

  • Hold regular briefings and communication meetings with the team and line managers

  • Oversee all health and safety requirements for the bus crew members and for the drivers

  • Work in co-operation with other departments, developing and maintaining good working relationship with colleagues

  • Have a good understanding of bus routes, and schedules

  • Investigate complaints and provide solutions for these to be reduced

  • Driving licence would be preferred but not mandatory, Operations management: 2 years (required)
