Full Job Description

Support the Payroll Manager to deliver the payroll service and pension remedy., Leicestershire Police are looking to recruit one full time permanent Assistant Payroll Manager (Processing) based at Force Headquarters, Leicester. The Assistant Payroll Manager will provide supervision of all work distributed through the Payroll Team to ensure the timely and accurate payment of monthly salaries and pensions., Ensuring all relevant data has been processed/uploaded prior to processing and managing any issues with delays and quality of data received from HRSC and Finance.
-Overseeing the payments for HMRC and Pensions via Finance and 3rd parties, including AEO's via the Payroll Supplier and resolving any queries.
-Checking the pension information for leavers and maternity calculations is accurate and correct before submission.

Hold the IPP Diploma in Payroll Management or equivalent.
-Knowledge and experience of using a large computerised payroll system within a complex financial / payroll environment.
-Well developed analytical skills with the ability to pro-actively respond to financial issues as they arise.
-Able to produce written reports and engage in discussions in a clear and concise manner.

Salary - £38,754 - £42,897
For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
