Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has occurred to join CWP's Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Team as a Family Support Worker for 9 months fixed term to cover maternity leave ( hours a week). We are seeking an individual with a genuine interest in working with women and families in the perinatal period, who has excellent communication and multi-agency liaison skills and a has a good knowledge of safeguarding. Experience of working in the Perinatal Mental Health field is desirable but not essential. We are a friendly, highly committed team who provide multi-disciplinary, specialised care to women in the perinatal period with moderate to severe mental health problems throughout Cheshire and Wirral. Main duties of the job The post holder will actively work with families and carers in their home and in the community working flexibly and will offer practical support and advice based on the identified needs of service users and their children. The post is fixed term for 9 months to cover maternity leave and for hours a week.   • Minimum of NVQ Level 3 in a subject relevant to Health, Social Care and / or child development

  • Recent experience of working with parents / families / children.
  • Experience of contributing to appropriate risk management / child protection plans

  • Experience of working with clients in Recovery from serious Mental Health issues.
  • Experience in a health related care setting with service users experiencing severe and enduring mental health.
