Full Job Description

We are investing in our Planning Service and are looking to recruit a new Assistant Planning Officer to join our Development Management team.

The position is permanent, 36 hours a week with a hybrid working environment.

The role will be responsible for managing a caseload of smaller scale, planning applications and pre-application enquiries to conserve and enhance the natural and built environment of Tameside.

While this will be the primary focus, there will also be opportunities to work with senior officers to assist on more complex and high-profile projects to help you gain additional skills and experience, and to assist in identifying and implementing more efficient ways of working.

There's a lot going on in Tameside, including over 2,000 homes at Godley Green Garden Village, major town centre regeneration schemes earmarked at Ashton (Mayoral Development Zone), Droylsden, Hyde and Stalybridge. We would like you to be a part of it!
