Full Job Description
Supporting children and young people to undergo their ADHD assessment appointment. To make observations of the children/young people and identify ADHD symptomatic behaviours. To record and make reports accurately to support the ADHD specialist nurses and consultants in coming to a diagnostic decision. To consult with education providers to collate relevant information. To consult with all professionals involved. To attend relevant MDT meetings and access further training., Supporting children and young people to undergo their ADHD assessment appointment. - NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent, Knowledge of child-related legislation
- Ability to write, implement and evaluate Treatment plans.
- Knowledge of Child Protection workings and practice Desirable criteria
- Working knowledge of specialist therapeutic approaches, e.g. cognitive behaviour therapy.
- Knowledge of mental health issues., Experience of working with adolescents.
- Experience of working in a team setting. Desirable criteria
- Experience of working within settings relevant to adolescents with additional needs including mental health needs.
- Experience of working with healthcare professionals / previous experience in the NHS.
- Experience of working in a busy and demanding environment.
