Full Job Description

Samphire Ward are excited to recruit a Band 4 Assistant Practitioner to join the team on a permanent basis. We are a forward thinking and flexible team and we are looking to do things differently. Samphire Ward is a mixed acute mental health ward for adults of working age based at Chatterton House in Kings Lynn. The role would entail supporting the team in collaboratively assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating care for those we are privileged to look after. We are looking for energised individuals who will be excited to be part of something very special. We want creativity, innovative ideas and passion towards providing excellent patient care. If you want to make a difference in people's lives and change it for the better, then we want you to be part of our fantastic team!, Whilst there are some roles and responsibilities that can only be carried out by a Registered Nurse, we are looking to develop the role of an Assistant Practitioner to enable participation in a wider range of opportunities. This includes attending inpatient reviews, completing relevant documentation such as clinical notes and risk assessments (under the supervision of a Registered Nurse) and medication administration following completion of training and competency assessment. You would also be involved in change management projects such as quality improvement. You will support the Registered Nurses with the day to day activities and provide support to service users throughout their inpatient journey.

Whilst inpatient adult mental health experience is ideal, if you have experience within related services such as learning disability or CAMHS and a desire to work in adult services then we would be pleased to hear from you.
