Are you an Assistant Nurse Practitioner or a Registered Nursing Associate looking for a new challenge? Then this may be just the role for you! The renal department is unique, friendly, dynamic, and promotes clinical excellence for all of our nursing teams across our 3 sites in Norfolk, and are delighted to be in a position to offer a rare opportunity at Cromer Renal Unit, Cromer & District Hospital, Cromer. Our nurse-led, outpatient hemodialysis unit at Cromer and District Hospital has 9 hemodialysis stations and operates from 06.30hrs - 22.00hrs Monday to Saturday, and closed on Christmas Day and New Year's Day every year. Their patient group totals approx. 60 patients and due to the frequency that patients attend for treatment, the unit has a real community feel to it. Our departmental Clinical Education team pride themselves on providing the highest standard of support and training, with an extensive competency document to complete 'on the job' to gain the skills you require to be a specialist renal practitioner., You will function as part of the Multidisciplinary Team within the department, to provide a seamless service to patients under the remote supervision of a Registered General Nurse/Practitioner. You will continue to develop and undertake a range of delegated tasks and will report to a Registered General Nurse/ Practitioner. The Assistant Practitioner/ RNA will provide a high standard of general/specific care for an identified client group and will be proficient and competent to work across professional disciplines. You will be able to deliver elements of health and social care and undertake clinical work in domains that have previously only been within the remit of registered general nurses only. Will also have the underpinning knowledge and assessed level of competence to undertake such a role - locally assessed following academic instruction. It is anticipated that this role will continue to develop through the acquisition of further skills, knowledge and competencies to be determined within the clinical teams, with focus on clients need.
