We are seeking a talented leader who will be responsible for leading behaviour and pastoral care in our Academy, through the Oasis Way, and who can inspire and motivate students and staff. You will work to secure the highest standards across our Academy. In addition, you will be a member of the Academy Leadership Team, which sets the strategic direction for the whole Academy. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and inspirational leader. Strong experience in secondary education is crucial.

Our Academy is a fantastic place to study and work and there really is no better time to join our team! We are a forward thinking Ofsted 'Good' school and this is reflected in our Year 7 intake which has been oversubscribed for the past five years. We are incredibly proud of all that we have achieved and are looking for a great candidate to join us.

We have a clear vision at OAW: All students will have the opportunity to climb the stairway to University, or a real alternative, and lead a fulfilling and happy life. We are committed to doing whatever it takes to ensure that every child at our Academy achieves academic success. We firmly believe in a structured environment which is founded upon high expectations and no excuses. We believe that all of our students, regardless of starting point, have the ability to fulfil their potential; and through great teaching and learning they will go on to become valuable and happy members of the community in which they live.

ABOUT YOU

You will be an experienced Middle Leader or Senior Leader with a proven track record of strong behaviour management. As a calm and reflective leader, you will have the skills to build the capacity of our very able Leadership Team. A sound understanding of school improvement strategies is key, as well as the ability to manage change and motivate staff and the community towards the achievement of clear and inspirational goals. An understanding of adolescent behaviour and pastoral care are essential, as well as a passion for inclusion.

We welcome applications from both experienced Assistant Principals and those wishing to take the next step in their career.

All members of our community are learners; our students are educated for life. Our staff are developed through teamwork, training and the opportunities that an innovative environment brings, both at a local and national level as part of Oasis Community Learning. The educational facilities we are proud to call home are shared with local schools and local people. We provide lifelong learning and contribute to our wider community through our Hub and also our Leisure Club.
