Assistant Project Engineer Electrical

The Capital, Estates and Facilities Directorate are seeking to recruit a highly motivated Assistant Project Engineer Electrical to Support the Project Engineer - Electrical in the delivery of discretionary capital schemes and the management of estates statutory plant & equipment.
The successful candidate will be able to provide professional advice and support on all types of electrical projects, design standards, technical requirements and electrical statutory compliance matters in order to achieve optimum cost effectiveness and design solutions.
They will provide advice on electrical issues / matters arising on capital schemes / site issues and solutions.
You should possess an intimate knowledge of current electrical regulations and British Standards.

Main duties of the job
To manage the delivery of designated capital projects from completion of the project brief through detailed design to commissioning and final handover. To provide professional, advice and support on electrical engineering matters, design standards, technical requirements and alternative methods of construction and design in order to achieve optimum cost effectiveness and design solutions. To support the Project Engineer Electrical in the management of the UHB statutory estates plant & equipment. This is to include development of a management action plan to address the statutory compliance issues., Applicants are invited to apply in Welsh.
